L3 Single Cab Praevia Dropside Tail-Lift – Built for Heavy-Duty, Multi-Function Use

This 3.5t Ford Transit L3 Single Cab, fitted with our exclusive Praevia Dropside body and a DEL tail-lift, has been fully kitted out with additional features to suit a demanding operational environment.

The Objective

The customer required a versatile dropside vehicle capable of handling a variety of heavy-duty transport tasks while prioritising safety, compliance, and operator convenience. Payload capacity, safe loading and unloading, and high visibility were all key requirements.

The CPD Solution

Starting with an L3 Single Cab Ford Transit chassis, our team built and fitted a 13’6" Praevia Dropside body – engineered for strength, payload efficiency, and long-term durability. To maximise usability, safety, and operational readiness, we integrated a host of additional features, including:

DEL DL500GRP MK5 Tail-Lift with mesh platform, fixed ramp, and auto safety gates – 500kg capacity.
Full LED lighting package including marker lights, beacons, strobes, scene lights, work lights, and interior PIR light strip.
Reverse camera and parking sensors with LCD clip-on mirror monitor for enhanced manoeuvrability.
On-board weighing system to ensure safe payload management.
External rope hooks and V-groove pull-ups for secure load fastening.
Fixed flange tow bar with jaw, pin, and ball – 13 pin.
Single level fall arrest system in powder-coated yellow for enhanced operator safety.
Tool storage solutions including LAGO Origin toolbox, special rollover toolbox, and chassis-mounted storage.
Chapter 8 chevron board for highway compliance.
Additional safety equipment including fire extinguisher, first aid kit, eye wash kit.
Cab security with door hook locks.
Tail lift overload buzzer for safe operation.
