Collection Process
CPD Vehicle Collection Process
To ensure a smooth and efficient collection process, please follow the steps outlined below. These procedures help us coordinate collections effectively and minimise delays for your team and ours.
Important: If payment terms are not in place, the vehicle must be paid for in full before a collection date can be arranged.
How to Book a Vehicle Collection
-
Request a collection date
Email reception@cpdbodies.com with at least 48 hours' notice.
-
Release code provided
A unique release code will be issued for each vehicle. This code usually begins with the letter ‘C’ – please keep it safe.
-
Driver check-in
On arrival, the driver must report to Reception with the release code and chassis number.
-
Vehicle handover
Once verified, our team will inform Logistics to proceed with the collection.
Logistics Company Instructions
If a release code is needed in advance to organise third-party logistics:
- The logistics provider must still book the collection by contacting Reception.
- Possession of a release code does not grant access to collect without a scheduled appointment.
- Unscheduled arrivals may be turned away and asked to return on another date.
Collection Times
- Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
To support an efficient process, please let us know whether the collection is expected:
early AM, late AM, early PM, or late PM.
Customer Responsibilities
-
Booking in advance: All collections must be booked with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
-
Providing accurate information: Drivers must have the correct release code and chassis number on arrival.
-
Condition of stored vehicles:
Vehicles that remain in storage after build completion may experience issues such as flat batteries or deflated tyres. These are the responsibility of the customer to manage at the time of collection.
- Third-party arrangements: If using a logistics company, it is your responsibility to ensure they are fully informed of the collection procedure.
