Auto Electrician
Auto Electrician
The Role
The Auto Electrician is responsible for the installation, testing, diagnosis, and repair of electrical systems across a range of commercial vehicle builds. Working within a production environment, the role supports the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and road-ready vehicles while meeting safety, quality, and production standards.
- Install and test vehicle wiring looms, lighting systems, and electrical components
- Fit auxiliary electrical systems including beacons, work lights, cameras, inverters, and related equipment
- Ensure electrical installations meet required specifications and quality standards
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on new and existing vehicle builds
- Carry out fault-finding on 12V and 24V electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic methods
- Rectify issues efficiently to minimise production delays
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions
- Complete work in line with job cards, build schedules, and company procedures
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and legislation
- Work collaboratively with production, fabrication, and finishing teams to deliver complete vehicle builds
- Support workflow within a production-line environment to meet deadlines
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve build or technical issues
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Adhere to company housekeeping standards and policies
Skills and Attributes
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or in a similar role within the automotive or commercial vehicle
- industry
- Relevant qualifications in Auto Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working on commercial vehicles, vehicle conversions, or specialist body builds (desirable)
- Familiarity with auxiliary electrical equipment and bespoke vehicle installations (desirable)
- Strong understanding of 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of safe working practices within a factory or workshop environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
- Professional attitude with good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting wider operational teams.
- Willingness to listen, learn, and develop new skills

Commercial Vehicle Body Builder
Commercial Vehicle Body Builder
The Role
The Commercial Vehicle Body Builder is responsible for the efficient build, modification, and repair of commercial vehicle bodies within a production-line manufacturing environment. Working on a range of vehicle types including lutons, dropsides, platforms, and curtain siders, the role requires a strong focus on quality, safety, and meeting production deadlines while adhering to company standards and procedures.
Vehicle Build & Fabrication
- Build, modify, and repair commercial vehicle bodies in line with job cards and technical drawings
- Work across various body types including lutons, dropsides, platforms, and curtain siders
- Ensure all builds meet required quality, compliance, and finish standards
Tools, Machinery & Equipment
- Operate cutting, bending, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively
- Use a range of air and power tools, including grinders, drills, and workshop equipment
- Competently use small hand tools
Production & Workflow
- Work efficiently within a production-line environment to meet build schedules
- Support workflow and collaborate with team members to maintain productivity
- Complete tasks within allocated timeframes while maintaining quality standards
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Adhere to company housekeeping standards and policies
Skills and Attributes
- Previous experience as a Commercial Vehicle Body Builder or in a similar role (semi-skilled or skilled)
- Ability to read and interpret job cards, drawings, and build instructions
- Good knowledge of safe working practices within a factory or workshop environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
- Professional attitude with good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting wider operational teams.
