Shortlisted for Environmental Initiative of the Year

CPD Bodies has been shortlisted for Environmental Initiative of the Year at the Motor Trader Commercial Industry Awards 2026, marking further recognition of the company’s commitment to embedding sustainability into commercial vehicle manufacturing.

The nomination reflects CPD’s ongoing investment in its ESG strategy, with a particular focus on its off-grid commercial vehicle conversion workshop currently under development at its Stockton-on-Tees headquarters. Once complete, the facility will operate using renewable energy generated on-site, forming part of a wider initiative to significantly reduce operational carbon emissions while maintaining the speed, quality and scale required by both SME and national fleet customers.

CPD Bodies delivers end-to-end commercial vehicle solutions, combining large in-stock chassis availability with on-site Type-Approved conversions and OEM-compliant builds. This approach enables customers to reduce lead times, control costs and scale efficiently.

This latest recognition builds on a strong period of industry acknowledgement for CPD, including winning Converter of the Year 2026 at the What Van? Awards and being shortlisted for Fleet News Converter of the Year, alongside its nomination at the Made in the North East Awards in the Sustainable/Ethical Manufacturer category.

The Environmental Initiative of the Year category includes a competitive shortlist of organisations delivering impactful sustainability programmes across the commercial vehicle sector, reflecting the growing importance of environmental responsibility within fleet operations and supply chains.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in April 2026, where CPD Bodies will join industry leaders in celebrating innovation, performance and progress across the sector.
