Showcasing Full-Spec Traffic Management Capability at Highways UK

As part of CPD’s appearance at the Highways UK Expo, we presented one of our most impressive Traffic Management (TM) vehicle builds to date - a fully equipped Ford L4 Single Cab Praevia Dropside designed to demonstrate our full engineering capability.

This wasn’t a one-off build for a customer. It was engineered to represent the standard CPD sets for quality, functionality, and safety in the Traffic Management sector - providing a real-world example of how CPD vehicles perform on the road and on site.

The Build

Built on a 3.5t Ford Transit L4 Single Cab chassis, the vehicle features our Praevia Dropside body - powder-coated for long-term corrosion resistance and an enhanced payload of 1022 kg. It combines practical strength with refined, site-ready detailing for demanding environments.

Key specifications include:

• LP13 Mini Light Arrow Board for directional guidance and compliance
• Low Access Footwells with three points of contact for operator safety
• Single-Level Fall Arrest System, powder-coated in yellow for visibility
• Chapter 8 Chevron Board with Highway Maintenance markings
• LED Beacon, Strobe, and Work Lights (R65/R10 approved) for all-round illumination and safety
• Conspicuity Tape & Red Door Lozenges for maximum roadside visibility
