Supporting MEV’s All-Electric Fleet Growth

You may remember the MEV cage dropside we built earlier this year - a compact, zero-emission solution designed to deliver in urban environments. Now, CPD has partnered with MEV once again to support the next step in their all-electric journey.

The Objective

As MEV expands its electric vehicle offerings, they’re developing a diverse fleet of low-carbon utility vehicles. This latest build adds versatility to the lineup, creating a compact cargo solution that complements their previous dropside models. The goal? A sustainable, practical, and fully electric vehicle fleet tailored for multi-purpose use in tight urban areas.

The CPD Solution

Built on a 2300mm MEV Single Cab chassis, this conversion features a fully enclosed Cargo Box – engineered for lightweight durability and urban functionality. We’ve enhanced its usability with:

• Full-width internal shelf for organised storage
  
• MEV Roof Rack for additional carrying capacity
  
• Compact 5'4" (1650mm) cargo body – ideal for tight streets and low-emission zones

This conversion was designed and installed in-house by CPD’s team, ensuring a seamless fit and road-ready finish.

The Result

The new MEV Cargo Box build represents another milestone in CPD’s mission to support innovative electric fleets. Built to match the demands of daily use while supporting MEV’s zero-emission ambitions, it’s a durable and adaptable solution for forward-thinking fleet operations.

Looking Ahead: The 2025 Cargo XL

As part of MEV’s ongoing innovation, their Cargo XL is set to launch in Q4 2025. This larger model offers:

• Payload capacity of 650kg
  
• Standard range of 100 miles
  
• ABS braking system
  
• A 4-year battery warranty

The Cargo XL promises to further expand options for sustainable fleets – and CPD will be ready to support with flexible, bespoke conversions on this platform too.
