Iveco Double Cab Steel Tipper Conversion

Iveco Double Cab Steel Tipper Conversion

The Challenge

A fleet operator required a robust double cab tipper that could support both crew transport and demanding site work. The specification called for a vehicle with strong towing ability, high visibility safety features, and compliance with Chapter 8 standards. Unlike most builds we carry out on Ford chassis, this project was based on an Iveco Daily 3750mm double cab, highlighting CPD’s capability to convert across a wide range of manufacturers.

Our Approach

CPD’s engineering and build team worked with the Iveco chassis to deliver a durable steel tipper tailored for heavy-duty use. Key focus areas included:

  • Adapted chassis – the Iveco chassis was cut to size, ensuring an accurate, safe fit for the steel tipper body.
  • Crew cab configuration – provided seating for additional team members, meeting operational needs for multi-crew deployment.
  • Safety and compliance – fitted Chapter 8 chevron board, conspicuity tape, and red lozenges for full ECE 104 compliance.
  • Operational efficiency – added a fixed flange towbar with jaw, pin & ball coupling and 13-pin electrics for towing capability.
  • On-site visibility – installed an R65-approved amber LED beacon and reverse alarm with night-silent override for safer manoeuvring.

The Outcome

The completed Iveco Daily 3.5t double cab tipper was delivered as a fully operational, compliant, and work-ready solution in just over two weeks. With its strong towing setup, crew-carrying capacity, and safety-focused features, the build offers a practical, heavy-duty vehicle fit for demanding site operations.

Key Takeaway

This project demonstrates CPD’s ability to adapt conversions across different manufacturers, not just one brand. By applying the same engineering standards and compliance-led approach, we deliver consistent quality whether the base vehicle is Ford, Iveco, Maxus, Mercedes, or beyond.
